I have a cat eyes bike that claims to have a 49cc motor with a grey cover. I have an air filter and an exhaust is in the mail. What would should my next mod be? I dont wanna spend too much $. I'm looking at rocket key but i'm not sure if i could install it. Thanks

A juice box will add some acceleration and a little top speed.

Has anyone tried getting the block decked or shaving the head? I wouldn't mind having to running racing gas.

That may actually slow it down as it will decrease the exhaust port opening duration.

The stock carb on the Cat Eye models is only 12mm. If you go with the 15mm Walboro HP carb it should make a big difference. And better yet, as Mike suggested, add the new Juice Box? along with the 15mm carb.

You can check out the carb here (http://www.adaracing.com/viewitem.php?id=wa-15-2&maincat=pocketbike).

Swapping out the carb for a 15mm carb is the best idea possible. Should be the first mod (or stock :P) undertaken by any owner.

I wouldn't deck the block, but I run 100 octane using 5.5 ounces of torco gp7 synthetic oil, .5 ounces more oil just for that just in case... dont want to lean out to much but its runs great, a little more accel. off the line and mid range power 2- strokes love it!!!! can get that oil at any motorcycle shop...

I am almost positive that it is 15mm stock, I had to replace the stock carb and I measured it so i would know what one to get. Or if it is 12mm stock I replaced with a 15mm and it didn't feel any different.

Does anyone here have a rocket key on a 49cc? I'm just curious how hard it is to install.

Yes, We Shaved .01 off of our Shop Bike. It didnt Really Help at all.
603/668 Carbs Rip on the 49CC Motors, I prefer them over 15 MM carbs.

What carbs are the 603/668? Will they bolt on?

Hi,

I'm new to this, this is actually my first time :(

We have a very fast cat eyes scooter. Please check out the movie of the ported scooter against the stock one at http://evosales.com/pd_monster.cfm

Let me know what you think. Also, if you have any tips on how to get it going faster, i'm all cat ears...

Thank you,
Rony
