View Full Version : ADA Product Installs on a 40cc CAG

Here are some writeups i did on ADA's Products.. and boy i dig there stuff. i hope this helps everyone here install there stuff. holla at me if you have any questions.

The patient is a chinese full faring cag. (also known as the 47cc pocketbike. btw, its really a 39cc case reed induction motor)

Installing a reed :

how do i know if am install the rockit key wrong?!??!!?! the bike wont start?!?! what happen if i just take the rockit key off the bike...still gona run o what???..thanx



About the ADA reed how do you put it i mean which side?!?! ada racing facing on the manifold or doesnt matter?!?!! please help....anyone did this already put the rockit key and ADA reed on 47cc bike?!!??!

if your bike doesn't start, make sure you seat teh coil correctly. also make sure when you place teh flywheel back on, that the key stays in place.

as for the reed, its either way. but i prefer the smooth side facing outward towards the carb. less turbulance (prob just a .00000000001% diff or no difference at all, its ur pref.)

i just noticed that the stock key is a little bit bigger than advanced key!! i already put mine and i didnt notice any different between stock and HP rockit key!!! run the same.... :bigl .....thanks again!

MEGA! I TOOK A TEST DRIVE ON MY BIKE HOW COME THE TOP END KINDDA START SLOWING DOWN BOGGING OR CUTTING OFF, WHY IS DOING THAT?? ANY IDEA??? I GOT FILTER ON IT!! BEFORE I GOT THE STOCK PARTS MY TOP END ARE GREAT NOW AFTER I PUT ALL THE STUFF MY TOP END FULL THROTEL IS BOGGING SOUNDS LIKE START CUTTING OFF MAKES THE BIKE SLOW DOWN ON TOP SPEED!!!! MY COUSIN HAVE ONE TOO SAME BIKE 47CC FULL FAIRING ALL STOCK ILL JUST INSTALLED ADA REED,AND HP ROCKET KEY,ADA FILTER KIT THE REST IS STOCK AND WE RACED TO MANY TIMES IM TAKING OFF FIRST BUT IN THE MIDDLE HES CATCHING UP ON ME COZ MY BIKE START TO CUTTING OR BOGGING OFF ON TOP SPEED FULL THROTTLE.. :confused: ..I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG?!?? its all about patience and tuning.. i bought all teh mods you can get here from ADA. (carb, reed, key, and filter) it took me about a week to dial the bike in. every carb is different (even if they are identical carbs), so tuning depends on the carb, bike, mods, enviroment etc..

when i did my install with all the ADA parts, it was all from the induction side (carb, reed fuel etc.) since you modded the induction side, you need to mod the exhuast side. (a different induction modification changes the pulse characteristics of the 2-stroke)

therefore, you need to get a performance pipe. ada has one coming, or you can get either an IP2 or jetpro pipe.

if you are using a stock pipe, your bike will bog at WOT. i know first hand. when i got a new pipe (jetpro) the bog was gone, and i peaked out the bike at top rpms.

2-stroke motors seem easy to work with, but that is a misconception. there is a lot of physics involved in it. especially with the exhaust portion of a two-stroke.

If reeds and other parts didn't work for you and you can't figure out how to fix the problem then it sounds like you shouldn't mess with such complicated things like motors... or even posting in forums since you can't be civil or type properly! :p
