X1 49cc?! WAIT A MINUTE!

I just bought a new Ninja X1 and it's top speed is 25 mph! Of course, this is just waht the gauge told me and i am not completely sure but it doesnt feel like it's 30 or above 25. Based on your guy's oppinions, what would be a good idea of something i could buy to make this AT LEAST go 30. I'm new to the pocket bike world and i just need some expertise advice lol THANKS! :)

edit: do you guys think a 49cc would go this slow, or could this be a 47cc or something?

no man thers been alot of discussions saying that the 47cc pb's are faster then the 49cc

some things to make it go faster you could use a ip2 pipe..ada billit air filter malbro carb...but first before you go out and buy these mods tune your carb you might be able to get it go faster if you havent done that yet

How exactly do i tune the carb? i'm not that sure, is the carb that piece that has the air gate adjuster on it? with the little oil bubble? how would i tune it?

yea mine is stock and when i got it it went 25 now i ajusted the carb a little and it goes 30 just stock :cool:

Cashman! how do u adjust the carb, i am not sure what you mean by "adjusting" it? do i have to remove it first to do this :( cuz i really dun wanna tamper with much lol how do u adjust it?

start from 2 turns open, ride... turn 1/16-1/18 open ride till you feel a slight WOT bog. then turn close 1/16 increments till the bog goes away. right when the bog @ WOT goes away, you are running mild-rich. from there, your can lean it out a bit (prob 1/16 more closed) then you should be set

lol dave i appreciate you for helping but i really didn't understand what you just said! im sorry! :( but is that thing ur talking about that little switch on the side of it that goes up and down? and what does wide open throttle mean?

turn the high speed needle clockwise

wide open trottle means when you have the gas pinned all the way down meaning your doing your top speed

ok well i looked at my carbeurator from the front of my bike and all i see is the little oil bubble that pumps the gas or w/e and the switch on the side of it. This only goes up and down. This high speed needle? i'm not sure where this is. Also one more thing. What is a BOG?

all your doing is turning the high speed needle untill you get max performance you wanna open it 2 turns....ride the bike as fast as it can go if there is a bog you wanna close it alittle bit

ok if you have ever rode a 2 stroke dirtbike you wanna keep the dirtbike in the high rpms and if you dont then its gonna start sounding like a fart can instead of the high pitch you should be hearing

you should ask some1 else i guess im not that good at excplaining things

k we are talking about the carbeurator right? mine is still the stock X1 carb and its in front of my motor and all i see right now is the oil bubble and the air gate adjuster that the manual says to leave closed. its jut a little switch that can only go up and down adn thats it. So where is this high speed needle?
