where does the clutch spring go on the 49cc cateye?

The clutch spring goes between the clutch pads, the clutch pads are are on the end of the flywheel and the flywheel is on the end of the crank shaft that does not have the pull starter. Umm, so why you want to change springs huh? I found a bit of a tech read on clutches ages ago, probably over your head but someone may find it interesting.
