I have heard that GSRs throttles get stuck because the throttle cable is to short. Is this true?? Im nervous of that happening! What can I do to prevent that?

Yes it is true. Theres only two ways to fix the problem.
#1 Make sure the cable is routed in the shortest way possible.
#2 Get handle bars and lower them, or if you have bars already, shorten them some more.

When I get it should I buy a used set of bars and a stem? Then just cut the stock pole down 3 inches or whatevers best and add the stem + bars?

I would go more...I mean its personal Preference. My bars are more like the Super X height because I like them short (im 5'7). When you get the stem and bars, stick the bars in the stem and hold them up against the pole and just try to get a feeling where its comfortable. If your 5'1 then Your most likely going to go pretty short.

Because the bars are shorter on the tsi and the cable has more slack. Tons of people have had their throttle get pulled open on the Gsr.
