how can i tell what domes i have???

i have a 96 xp i bought many years ago. im pretty sure the head is not factory but the domees i dont know. i shattered the one dome but dont know what to replace it with.

ADA Racing engraves the dome part number/size on the backside. If you have an XP800, then the domes would have either SD8043, SD8041, or SD8039 engraved on them. The last 2 numbers is the dome volume.

i dont have pics just yet. but i looked at the domes and i dont think there are any stampings on them. does this mean they could be factory

Do you have an ADA Racing billet head? If so, then you would have ADA Racing domes in it.

If you have a stock head, it does not have replaceable domes.

If you have another brand of aftermarket head, then you would need to get domes from that manufacturer. Domes are generally not interchangeable between brands of heads.

ok....i was wrong. the domes do have a stamp on them (sd842) but the head doesnt have a stamp. so i dont have a clue where the head came from.

All ADA Racing billet heads have our logo engraved on them. If you have an ADA Racing head it would look like the ones below:

The older ADA Racing billet heads did not have the water outlet in the center. The 2 halves were seperated.
