And just for giggles.... an aftermarket air filter does not add HP. It simply has a larger surface area and does not clog as fast as a stock one does.

you are right but what i was trying to say is that with a bored out engine the ports are bigger and u need a aftermarket filter to get the full hp.But check out that site for boring out engines. ;)

billetboi... no, you get bigger ports with a PORTED (hence the term) engine. Bore and stroke is what determines the actual displacement size (such as 43cc) of the engine..

kevin, you cant bore out an engine with a grinder. You can however port your engine with a decent grinder tool and bits such as a Dremel. If you are clueless about this process, then leave it to the pros. A simple mistake of a thousandths of an inch can render your engine useless.

My usual answer for "how do I make my scooter go faster for free?" question is... find a hill to go down.
