gas leak

ok i have a 47cc half-fairing pocket bike so far i put on a pipe and a air filter but my stock carb leaks a ton of gas what do i do is there a way to stop it and is it suposed to be doing that or should i just buy a new hp carb
please help!!!!!!!!

i no 3 ways that usually work:
1-run the bike and rev it up. then pick up the back and just drop it down. this will loosen any clogs if thats the problem.
2- clean the carb well
3- open up the float bowl on the carb and bend the 2 prongs down a little, there silver on my stock carb
