got a go-cart

hey i just bought a homemade go-cart and i need some help it has a 5.0 horsepower moter on it. when i go to ride it starts up fine but it shuts of when i let go o the trottle and i start it again it does the same i think the carb needs to be adjusted but i dont know how to do that. can some tell me how to adjust the carb or wut the problem is please

hey kevin welcome back, on my 5.0 go-cart you have to take off the air filter tray to reach the carb screws, it is basically the same as a pocket bike but in a bigger version and different position. start off by adjusting your throttle then work your way around the carb, this will take a bit of time in doing to get it just right. :D
