Hi everyone. I'm from spain and I've just received my Evo scooter 2x. I think it's comes from China, because have and stick on the engine with 49cc. I cant use till weekend. I have started and it's ok. But the Gear selector is too hard. Os can I make it soft? And how can I know the engine name to buy tuning parts?
Thanks

Post a picture of the engine and we should be able to tell what you have.

Not sure on the gear selector as I am not familiar with them. Hopefully someone on here with Evo experience will have some advice.

if its the new Evo, you have the 49cc engine. Its common on pocket bikes so any 49cc pocket bike parts will fit. First thing from what I have heard is to throw that carb away and get a Walbro WYK 58. Its the same style carb so it will bolt right up but its made much better than whats on yours. Here is the link for the carb.

That engine is pretty darn reliable. It wont be a powerhouse but it has good torque and can have some decent power when modded. I have 2 of those engines in use and I have never had any problems with them. One of them is on a heavy Viza V2 scooter and it pulls it with ease. I am not too sure how the gear selector is on the new Evo's I have an original Evo and the selector works smooth.

sts330,
Is it just me or does that thing have a butterfly carb on it like the WT-603 we see on our Go-ped RC engines? I've never seen one of those come on a 49cc like that before. You're very right about those engines though, the reliability is great and everythinh we make for the 49cc pocketbike should bolt right up to it. We should be making the stalker exhaust for them again soon too!

Yes it does. I enlarged the picture and took a second look. I wonder if Evo listened to the message boards about how crappy the barrel carb was. Now the question is if its a cheap China clone or a real Walbro and how does it run. I guess disregard the carb link I put in my post above.

Hey Cyaque,
I see you found the place. I also see you chose the 2X...... Good choice! Like I was telling you on GPN my evo is one of my favorites. Maybe because it is heavier? Got a couple boxers waiting for me to put together... I think they will be some smooth scooters as well. Welcome to our obsession! Have fun with the scooter!

I was thinking the same thing! I see that it has a metal nipple on the top which Walbros don't normally have so I'm guessing it's a clone. Hey Cyaque, can you look on the bottom plate of the carb and see if it says Walbro for us? Or get any number off of it you can see? I'm curious to see what kind of carb it is since I've never seen a chinese 49cc come with a butterfly like that.

I have never used or seen a China brand butterfly carb. Hopefully they perform better than the China brand barrel carbs.

Hi,
We're out of them right now but the stalker that would fit is the 49cc pocket bike one. Here ya go, hopefully we'll make them soon!

You could also try DDM or any one of our dealers to see if they have some left.

I've a question, when I walk moving my scooter it's breaked on rear wheel. Don't know if it's normal
Thanks

If the new Evo's are like the original ones, there is some resistance on the rear wheel when you walk with the scooter. Thats due to the transmission having gears unlike a Go Ped that spins freely that has no transmission.
