Thanks to ADA for helping out on the 500 Mile ride in April!
April 13~19 Scooter Scene Magazine is hosting a ride down the California Coastline from San Luis Obispo to San Diego! 5 Riders on various scooter types taking on the coastline!
No Chase cars/vans just men, scooters and equipment!
We will be doing a tire life test for ADA comparing tires for wear, and 'wearing' a bunch of ADA equipment.
You can read all about it at Scooter Scene Magazine as it will be a feature story.

We did 370 miles the last time we did a 'endurance ride' so we wanted to break that record and go 500
Lets just say that it isnt anything for the weak at heart, or the weak at scooter!!

Don't let me forget to thank you as well Chris (USSRL) fo your support. Saddle soars is a condition I hope NOT to have. Even though I do have a seat post with a big fat cusshy saddle on her, 500 miles in 5 days is gona be a challenge for these old bones. ;) But one well worth taking.

Well at least 4 of 5 made it!
The Go Ped GSR Broke after 200 miles of WOT riding. The drive sprocket at the motor broke off flush inside the clutch bell. A simple break that could not be road repaired. It broke about 25 miles out of Santa Barbara, almost exactly 200 miles into the ride. It was ridden hard because even at WOT it was at the lower end of the cruise speed of the BladeZ/Big Boy scooters, even those towing trailers. I'll give it credit for hanging in there that long. We lubed the chain every gas stop so it was not a lurtication failure. Had it not broken off flush we may have been able to install the spare set PMW provided with road tools.
The remaining scooters made it without any mechanical trouble. My RCS Power Pipe blew a silicone coupler on day 1, but the replacement coupler lasted the remaining 4 days of riding. Brians 3 Stage Power Pipe broke right at the baffle with about 60 miles left on the last leg, so his last miles were LOUD! None of us had any drivetrain failures, motor failures or anything else that kept us from motoring on. On the last day I fouled the stock Champion spark plug in my Tanaka 40 but that was my fault since I didnt replace the plug after I broke in the engine.
