i don't know about the piston changing but since it's a single ring piston does that mean you don't have to changge them like on the rc?? if it does mean that, then i'm buying those for sure! looks pretty kool!:D

Its a single ring. The G23Orc ring do not last too long but unlike the Lh where they last alot longer. High performance motors come with some maintence and changing the ring is one of them.

with my experience on the superior line of motors, they are great and perform just as well if not better then the zenoah motors. They are top notch well made motors. I expect to see this new 230rc nockoff to be the same quality!

Finally, our HE23HP Engines Arrived Today. We have been waiting on them for along time. They look great, the quality is great. We are taking some apart now for a thourough inspection. we understand that the supply of G23RC's has all but dried up in the USA. No Fear....the new Superior HE23HP is here to replace it! what is different or less quiality that makes it 100 dollars cheaper?

ADAMarv

One of the reasons the price is cheaper is the carb is not included. As far as the quality, it has some features that make it arguably better. Just to mention a couple, it has added oiling holes on the bottom of the heavy duty connecting rod to enhance toe oiling of the lower crank bearing. It also has a much more precision finish on the bore with heat treated aluminum. You would not have to be an exper to notice the difference. The RC's have always had what I would consider a "quality problem" with some of their cylinder walls and piston shapes. Thats just an opinion. Our dealers and end users will be the judge. As far as the price......posibbly someone in the supply chain of the G23RC is overcharging.

Wow, the engine looks good. I like the oil holes.

will u guys sell that double sided Flywheel, i am in need of a RC flywheel and if this is cheaper, ill get it

ADAMarv

Yes, we will be selling the flywheel. They are on the way to us now. The will be here in about 3.5 weeks. We also have lots of other parts coming for the HE23FP that will also fit the G23RC. We have chrome pull start housings, replacement pullstarts, chrome fan covers, chrome plastic spark plug covers, cylinders, long blocks etc., all to be sold at a very competitive price. We will also have some new special racing pistons for ghe HE23HP, G23RC, HE23ZR, G23LH, and G2D's. They will feature a Hi Tec, low friction race coating with a Racing Profile Grind on the skirts. We have already tested the pistons for wear and performance and have noticed improvements in both areas. The engines with the new Superior Race Pistons turn more RPM's without other changes.

marv....... will you be selling ignition coils and cases seperately as well? Also on numerous posts of yours you have refered to the he23hp and HE23Fp are these the same engine? if not what are the differences?

There was some confusion internally on the name of the engine. I had thought it would be the FP. It has been called out as HP. We will now save the FP for another engine. We have a new case reed engine designed and it may release using the FP letters, but not sure at this time, and not sure how long that engine will take. It is our own design and quite different from anything out at this time. We have been working on it for over a year. Will first release in all billet configuration while we decide if it will be cast and mass produced.

The new Superior has been selling better than we expected. Our first shipment of a few hundred sold out right away. PSI/Superior has more being flown in air freight and more on the water by ship and more being made for the coming months. They did not anticipate the sales would be so great, but had to start somewhere. All the reports back have been 100% great. We now have an engine product that is truly a Superior Product that will save$$$$ for everyone. Dont forget, we will also have big bore kits and complete big bore engines too!

What is the reason for having the flywheel have both sides with fins on it?

ADAMarv
04-21-2003, 10:44 AM
The HE23HP is legal for USSRL & MSRA and other sanctioning bodies. At this time it is not considered as legal for the IGPA, as that organization is ran and owned by Goped and they are being protective so racers can only use products sold by them. It would probably take petitioning from racers to have the HE23HP engine made legal. The only thing that is not legal at this time is the Engine Crankcases if I am correct.

Slight clarification: The IGPA is not ran and owned by Go-Ped, but by five board of directors. Go-Ped is however IGPA's largest sponsor. The MSRA is no longer. This engine is legal in the Open classes at the IGPA, but not in the other classes.

The MSRA is still in existance. I talked with Mike Young last night in Florida. He just bought out his partners and owns the whole MSRA. Mike has some great plans for Scooter Races coming up. Mike and the MSRA put on the goped World Finals for over 5 years. They were the first to put the scooters on the Strip in Vegas at Circus Circus

That is interesting. Hopefully he is able to pull it off, because the IGPA officiated his events in order to help make them run smoother.

Tim,

Will your dealers be threatened to have their dealership terminated if they participate in the MSRA races like they are if they race in the USSRL?
Please give a honest answer!!!

More lies and rumors coming from X Factor Racing... NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL. (I guess you didn't see the Team Go-Ped riders at the last USSRL event)

I saw we just give PMW and ADA some boxing gloves and have them duke it out, once and for all.

On another note, is the HP's fly wheel lighter than that of the RC's?

The engine is awesome!
But why there's no sticker "HE23HP" like pictured on the ad? Are they sold separately?

Brooks

There is no 'sticker'. That was done in Photoshop to prevent copyright theft.
