When first created, these $1000+ (polini, blata, bzm powered) machines were for racing purposes ONLY! We'll thats what was done with them, because everyone that had that kind of money and purchased the Euro bikes RACED THEM!
Now that china has mass produced these little bikes, things are getting WAY out of hand!
Now that these suckers retail for what an average scooter cost all these little kids/dumb grown-ups that don't know the rules of the road are getting them and jamming down the street like a mad man! I don't have anything against these china made pocketbikes, only against those who ride on the street causing chaos and giving "us" the Real Pocketbike Racers a bad name (and im sure you saw it in the news).
Something also strange, I started this sport roughly around a year ago before the pocketbike "craz" was even here. Ive been to a good number of races, and heck i race myself! Here's the strange thing......Now that pocketbikes "hit it big" everyone seems like they want to "cash in, in all the fun".....dont get what im saying? Check it:
-Wassup with the USSRL having a a Group for the Pocketbike racers? I've seen the rules....so does this mean that guys with high end Euro's can come in and race against all these china bikes? (Hummm i do want a trophy)
-Hookupz? What The Hizzle?
Now there trying to cash in as well? Comeon guys, i saw you at the last stockton race, if your gonna come out atleast race!
-Now ADA....I have nothing bad to say about you guys, because you guys were great when i use to ride scooters and im sure you still are. It's sad and disappointing that now the pocketbike "craz" has hit the market, thats when you start making parts for pb's. I mean where were you a year ago, when people didnt even know what a pocketbike was?
Something you guys might wanna know (ADA). The "pocketbike" with lights, blinkers, speedo etc.. are 47cc. The smaller ones aka: Daytona, Cagllari, Boss etc... are 39cc
Remember guys! Don't ride on the street! If you do your looking at a citation & impounded vehicle.
