  • **New DS-60 gsr60 engine adapter kits**

DS-60 adapter solution for mounting the infamous Zenoah G62PU powerhouse on 78mm mounts and Gsr40 frames. This is a direct bolt on kit, requires the use of gp460 ignition/flywheel/fan cover and modified gp460 clutch hub. Designed to allow the G62 rotate the correct direction (intake facing rear) the direction zenoah intended. Results may vary, but I gained about 5mph when compared to my TS60, and noticeably more torque.

    Included in the kit:
    -Fan side adapter
    -Clutch side adapter
-4x m6 fan side adapter bolts
    -4x m5 extended case bolts
    -2x 1018 custom crank washers
    -Installation instructions

Cost is $385+$15 for US shipping
+$22 for modified gp460 clutch hub
(*please note, this is an automotive type part, it may have small nicks or light scratches)

You can’t flip the cylinder on a 60, head bolt pattern is non-symmetric, so the orientation is dependent on rotation and vise versa. People are starting to refer to the DS as the “flipped 60” which is fine lol, I don’t mind. It just means the non-standard vs. the others. The important part is this-It was designed like this on purpose. Internally, the engine is supposed to rotate this way. With the intake facing rear. So this is the way I chose.

DS' kit is not flipped. He has the cylinder facing the correct way relative to the crank rotation. For most 60 kits, they swap what side the flywheel and clutch are on in order to the the cylinder to face forward. It like if someone too the clutch and flywheel on a 460, and swapped the side that they're on. That would allow the intake to face forward.

The big downside to having the 60 face forward is that the crank rotation direction is wrong relative to the transfer port orientation in the cylinder. This absolutely kills scavenging by creating much more turbulence in the engine. As DS has mentioned, you can correct for this with porting, but having the thing spin the right way from the beginning is the better approach.

TBH, if I were in the market for a 60 kit and I had a 40 frame, this is the kit that I would buy. It looks really well thought out and the price is super affordable!

ps: sorry for clogging up the FS thread!

Thats the reply I was waiting for. The only question I have is the flywheel thing. It needs modification like the Tetra, correct?

No big deal to me if that’s not part of the kit, I’ll just have a couple turned for the future. I was about to 460 the kids GSR, but I’d rather stick a 40 type mount on it and do a 60...I don’t play lol
Lookin for a new goat...mine is wore the hell out!
