  • Bigfoot - Spring, Torsion "Motor Mount"

I bought my son a used BigFoot - G23LH but the engine will not stay on the back wheel.. in looking at the diagrams it looked like it was missing the Spring, Torsion "Motor Mount".. I purchased this part but I cannot see where to install it... can someone help with a picture or something explaining where this is installed???

Yeah... your right.. I have that same hole underneath mine... I also have a piece coming off the tailpipe with an opening...looks like the spring came of there..... Off to the hardware store!

Those springs are infamous for breaking, so most go with Jazeo's set up. It's been awhile since I messed with a biggie. Drill a hole in the mount and a hole at the end of the frame and done.

Edit: I do not own this picture, it was borrowed from the internet. I have no idea what the hell they were trying to do, but my guess is it didn't accomplish as much as was hoped.

dont get a spring so strong that you cant pull the shifter, a weaker spring is better because i had a problem with a strong spring so a weaker one if it dosnt get enough grip all you need to do is loosen the pivot point a little and some fine tuning with it.

if this is the one you bought http://www.amazon.com/Engine-Spring-.../dp/B008SY818S then it goes between the motor mount and the frame on the main motor mount bolt, on the side furthest from the wheel. the end with the little bend rests against the motor mount and the other end ends up resting in the area just above where the kickstand bolts to. make sure to take the rear wheel off otherwise It'll be a pain to install.

Part #43 that attaches to the motor mount. Looks to me one side presses against frame and other goes in the motor mount hole.

So you would use the spring that goes from the motor to the frame plus this spring as well ???
