  • okay, I'll throw my 2 cents into the engine speed vs goped speed calculations. The GZ25N engine specs are found on this link: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/86...?page=6#manual . my Garmin gps tells me my max speed is 18mph. I measured the rear tire to be 10 inches in diameter and I measured the spindle to be .75 inches in diameter. so here's the math: 18miles/hr x 5280ft/mile x 12inch/1ft x 1rev/31.43inches x 1hr/60minutes x 10inches/.75inch = 8018rpm. so goped engine speed is calculated to be 8018rpm. which is in the ballpark with the data from the link.

    • When I had my geo fitted on the probike...
It would rev out to 16K ... on a .73 spindle.
      .....
The wheel size is irrelevant when driving with a spindle..
The only figures you need are the spindle size and RPM...
If the wheel was 6 foot across, it would still only move forward the diameter of the spindle, each revolution.

thanks for the ideas! Putting it all to use!
drilled out my stock 37 jet to about .39-.40
made a .4mm thick spacer to move the needle up along with porting and polishing the bottom intake Venturi.
gonna try the carb on my stock gz25n14 with x-can
currently working on building a potted gz25n14

i made some reed blocka Incase these carb mods don’t work and then I’ll switch out but I love free mods! Hahahaha

I am not sure about your sums...
The tyre size is irrelavent with a spindle drive..
And the engine tops out at 16000 rpm where upon the limiter kicks in..
They idle at around 4000 rpm..
