Nice find. Looks like you have the early version carb. Good. If you’re running a 40:1 gas/oil mixture then you want to screw that black screw out 1.5 turns. Then tune from there a little + or - if need be.
edit..... what type of oil are you running? That gas looks a bit clear.

Ok, sweet. I got it started . The screw that pishes the black plastic throttle thing on the carb needed to be pushed in a little bit so the revs would be up wgen in neutral (off throttle). It actually idles now. Next im gonna fine tune the black screw now. The black screw i turned 1.5 turns out from being seated in lightly.

Edit: For fuel im running TRUFUEL 40:1 mix for 2 cycle engines. No gas stations in NH sell 95, only 93 or 91. Atleast not in concord, so i got the premix which has 95 octane gas.

Ok. How’s it running these days? The stock g23LH was sufficient on regular 87 pump gas. Premium is more than sufficient . No need to use anything higher for that engine. 91 or 93 octane is plenty. Mine is ported piped carbed and rocket keyed. Never had an issue on normal premium pump gas. Not sure where you’re getting the 95 number from. I think 95 was advertised somewhere

I ran one of mine on homemade moonshine . Torque was great, but lost some rpm. And it smelled like burning corn. And I would say it wasn’t more than 180 proof. So it still 10% water. So ya, the LH can handle running water lol.

Hey bud! It's running good I got a carb rebuild for it and now it starts up great. I have the stock carb still and turned it all the way in yo seat it lightly then turned it out one full turn. That is supposedly the stock carb setting how it came to ekm factory. I am planning on buying the g290rc and ddm dominator combo for $290 engine next week or just a pipe for the g23lh and a HP carburetor for now but my rear tire is wearing fast and I find a lot of rubber in the fender after riding for on loo y 16 minutes everytime. What could be the issue? Too much pressure when adjusting the spindle to tire? I tried about 20lbs currently and still bas some rubber coming off and wearing the tire uneven

Not enough. Your spindle is slipping too much. I put about 100 pound on mine.

Thank you brother. Just put about 80lbs on and tightened her good. Going to take it back out this afternoon. I hope she's running g good and doesn't put too much pressure on the tite. But ya the title was getting torn to shit even after short rides and rubber all inside the rear part of frame where the tire sits.

Hey btw, are you using a 3rd bearing support? I don’t recall you mentioning one. 80 pounds is good too. I just lean on one leg on the deck while retightening the rear axle. You may also want to start thinking a spare replacement tire
