  • Can someone please tell me what a Fly wheel key is?

Yo i've been trying to figure out how this thing works for the longest time now. How does it work? All I see is that it increases top-end speed but where the hell does it go on the flywheel. No pictures of it anywhere applied on a go-ped.

There is a groove on the flywheel shaft the key slides into, it basically locks the flywheel to shaft so there is no slipping when the motor is running. I thought my 460 needed one on the clutch side but it is not needed when the clutch is torqued down. I believe the flywheel side has one at least on the 460 anyway. Someone can correct if I’m wrong...

Well the flywheel key pictured is the stock one that should already be installed on Zenoah/CY engines, it sits in a cutout on the crankshaft and your flywheel has a groove that slides over it. This http://www.davesmotors.com/Rockit-Ti...-Key-gprk.html is an advanced flywheel timing key for Zenoah LH/G43L engines and gives a slight power boost, but I kinda doubt it adds much if anything to top end speed.
