  • Buying a new disc for my hydros, some questions.

I have the ADA suspension with the hydros and man do i love em, but I got a question:

I want to buy a new aftermarket rotor for it because mine is bent in 3 places after 6-7 months of hard riding, but I would really like to get a MTB disc because they have some really cool designs that would be a pretty trick thing on my ped...but is the bolt pattern and everything the same? I don't know much about MTBs and stuff, so if I get any disc will it bolt right up just like an ADA one?

Alan, take your rim to Jax?

I'm not sure if the bolt pattern is the same.

From what i know the hydro rotor users an I.S. mount. You can get whatever rotor you like, the only important factor being it's size..

I never said you had to buy from Jax...just take your rim in and see what size rotors fit.

There are a few minor points you need to watch out for. High quality MTB rotors as used on nearly every MTB capable bike are very thin. They are also very strong, but not strong i the sense the will take a beating. I can safely say if you hit an MTB rotor (one of the .5/.3/.2 grade) on the ground from a sharp turn, or crash you may well bend it into nothing.

Just be carefull...try and get the same size rotor as your current one.
