hi guys i ordered an black frame from ada and a chrome fork. i took off the fork but how do u take of mystem. what tools do u need and so on.

Most of the stems just use allen wrench screws that you just have to unscrew and the stem will come off... what type of stem do you have?

i have a stock stem so how do i take that one off.

Unless I am mistaken, you fold the bars down to expose the FTG. Using a hammer and a punch you pound out the pin. That releases the steering tube from the FTG. Support the frame while on its side so you can get a good blast on it and it will slide down and out.

Thats correct, but you now have to loosen the allen bolt about 3 turns, then hit the bolt downward to loosen the wedge on the ftg everythning should fall apart from there.

Well I thought he was talking about a stem, not a ftg... Anyways I got the allen screw part right Even though it was the ftg and not a modded stem.
