  • New Trail Ripper Just arrived !!!!

My brand new trail ripper just arrived been waiting for it since April 15th ... Box didn't fit in the car so I had to set it up in front of fed ex lol. HELP SOMEONE I CANNOT get the front wheel on. I took it out of the packaging put some gas in it started it ... then when I unscrewed the front axle like I was supposed to put the wheel on rotor towards the caliper. The axle does not go all the way through to get the washer and nut on. WHAT am I doing wrong. HELP PLEASE

This may sound like a stupid question, but did you first insert the brake rotor into the caliper before sliding the axle through the wheel?

That is the only reason, other than an incorrect axle, that I can think of for axle to be too short.

EDIT: You may need to remove caliper, install wheel, then reinstall caliper. I don't have my gtr with me to check if you can install wheel with the caliper in place.

Wait.... All I did was take the axle out and put the wheel on. Obviously I'm doing something wrong..

The rotor was already on the wheel.

Can you take a pic, from the front, with the wheel on?

Your pic confirmed my failing memory!

Gwiz, you HAVE to remove the brake caliper from the fork, install the front wheel then reinstall the caliper.

Yeah that's definitely what the problem is..... I've never removed a Maddog caliper before.... Is this doable without screwing up on something new for the first do I remove it and then readjust it. Thank you for the help
