Its significantly faster, now if you want exact mph I cant tell you that because it depends on weight etc, but the rc is definatly a fast motor...

I replaced my stock G23 with one of the G230RC motors on my bigfoot, and I can't tell you how much faster it is... but it is faster than my original motor with timing advance, ported cylinder, HP carb and tuned pipe....

I might add the timing advance, and I'll probably get one of the intake Boost Boxes... more to quiet my motor down, but will happily accept the performance increase.

It goes fast enough for riding on the street, that I don't feel the need to do any other mods, while the standard stock motor DID need the HP parts.

YES, I've had trouble tuning my G230RC... and I still don't have it fully dialed in, but I wouldn't go back to the stock motor.

DO NOT stick a rocket Key or Advance the Timing at all.

G230/G260 Type motors timing is already advanced as far as it can safetly go.

If you have to ask about tuning, Please, do yourself a favor and get a HP carb on your LH and learn how to tune it. Lh motors can take so much more abuse than a Rc.
Modded out Super x ped, G2d xped,
Modded out Yamaha wave blaster, and a Stock Yamaha wave raider.

Okay, didn't know that bout the 230RC... Thanks for saving me the pain of learning

I did order one of the Juice Boxes though.

As for carb adjustments, I'm just having a little problem keeping an idle and having good takeoff/initial torque... kinda like the HP carb for the LH, but it seems to be much more picky.

I'm not really trying to squeeze more top end out of my G230 though. I'm just trying to make it a LOT more quiet and gain a bit more off the line torque.

As for getting a LH with a HP, I had that motor completely dialed in... my bigfoot clocked at 31mph with the mods I posted above with a tuned pipe and a .700 spindle ... I weigh 180 lbs... it ran great until the motor just got too tired and was a hell of a hill climber even with the .7 spindle... probably a good year of 1-3 hr rides a several times a week until it died.

Ya rcs are already advanced 30 degrees its like 3 rocket keys because rocket keys advance timing 10 degrees so you don't want to advance it anymore.
Bad move buying the juice box. I've heard a lot bad reviews on that. I've heard its hard to tune with that and some ppl say it decreases topend. I really feel bad for you.

In all of our testing and all of the different engines that we put the Juice Box? on, it's helped. Tuning is a major factor when doing anything to the engine. Most people that say they can tune their carb can't. It take patience and paying close attention to what you are doing. You just can't start cranking on the carb screws and not keep track of the changes you made and how it affected the way the engine runs. The hardest thing most people seem to have trouble with is telling the difference between lean and rich. If in doubt always adjust richer first. Then if it makes it worse, then go leaner. Always turn the screws in small increments, 1/16 of a turn.

We wouldn't make a product if it didn't do what it said. The Juice Box? works, but carb tuning is required.

Yeah, well I bought the standard Juice Box for my G230RC, but haven't yet ridden it. So we'll see...
