  • Flipping gsr40 cylinder?

Hey I was wondering. if i flip my gsr40 cylinder & piston, would a regular unflipped sikk pipe bolt up to it?

Yes however GSR40 manifolds have a larger opening then a sikk rc manifold. So it would bolt up but without switching to an Ada GSR40 manifold or widening the rc opening then it potentially wouldn't have ultimate performance although it would better then a stock can. Flipped 40s seem to like sikk/ et pipes

Awesome, & just to confirm, You are talking about an unflipped sikk, correct? & to widen the manifold opening could i just grind away at the inside with a dremel? Secondly, would the center bleed or end bleed typically perform nicer on the 40? Appreciate your input thanks!

Yes unflipped sikk and flipped 40 I've seen many. Yes I believe there's enough meat" to port it but don't quote me on that. I vote end bleed but that just personal preference I think I've seen both ran on 40s

Ok time to go drink beer...

End bleed will not only sound better but give way better mid/high rpm horsepower. Center bleed is better for low/mid rpm torque. Its a give and take on a 2 stroke.

My 40 motor hates a center bleed with the aggressive scum port it has. If I put on the FS pipe it keeps up with most 460's. Before i owned this 40 motor and fs pipe I built it up except the scum port on a last gen factory gsr40 frame " like a uni frame" , For 3pedsin. He was side by side with some of the big names in the sport at AZ PF 14' and not the 40's! Yeah it was the modded 460 crowd he and I were both shooting for, l was slow to get going on the tempe ride but pushed it hard to keep up. So did Sean though the pipe needed repair.
