  • Spindle is slipping on motor

Since GPN is down I guess I will post here. I am building a SBF but I cant get the spindle on the crank withought having it slip when you go to push it. I know that it is slipping on the motor and not on the tire. The SBF has 3rd bearing support by mlc if that makes a difference. SO how do you install a spindle. Thanks!

    ??????
    What kind of Spindle?
Spindel instalation is Straight forward. Slip the end with the bigger hole on to the Crank, and then Tighten the Bolt.

got it on just had to use a truck load of thread lock and tap it on a bit. The 3rd was making it a little hard to get the spindle on all the way. But now my problem is that I am hsving trouble starting the motor now. You got any tricks, its a brand new motor. I set it to specified factory settings and the motor is turning over. It just dosnt continue to turn. So please give any ideas or tricks to starting a stubborn motor. Thanks!

Try priming the Carb. Press the lil bubble on the top of the carb untill if fills all the way.

i have noticed that i pull real hard on the starter vs other people what im trying to say is i have seen this before when they cant start it but i can some engines are tempermental on start up typically the engines i build are hard to start so i use starter fluid to get the 1st start.once its warmed up i dont have the problem anymore.you can get starter fluid in a spray can for as little as a dollar.just use it when worst comes to worst.
