  • BladeZ one belt

undefined I have converted my 40cc moby BladeZ to one belt. My BladeZ is fully stock with exception of an airfilter and its hitting about 42mph just because i converted it to one belt instead of the oringinal two. Now will this eventually blow my motor because its going so fast and its stock?

Yeah, I think BladeZ would have made their scooters one belt by now if it would save them money on belts and make their scoots faster!

If you had a belt running from a 15tooth sproket going to the wheel which is very big the ratio would be extreamely geared low you would only be going like about 5 or 10 milies an hour like that at wot.

Its nice to see some of my message board homies takin care of the BS....

          Thanks guys!

Yes, I have seen a single belt setup on a BladeZ, but it certainly was not beneficial. It was a frigging PIG. The gear ratio was so insanely high the scooter would just bog all day long.

As far as smaller cc models go, BladeZ is a bit better IMO. I mean with clutches, air tires, and the Tanakas are perfect for beginners because they're low-maitnence. (comparing the Sport to Moby X and XS)

a stock sport is as basic as it gets. they require very little maintence. its when u try to make them do 40 u need to spend some time working on them

I considered a sport but they seemed too small for me and I hear tires wear fast when you push-start it. But when I said they're better, I meant for beginners. I've seen some fast sports before but most who say they go 40 barely go 30.

Forget about GoPed and get an Evo 2X. Put the 25-tooth gear and a good pipe on and it tops out at 60mph! Is that fast enough for everyone? I'm only using a 21-tooth gear for 50mph, because that's scary fast enough for me.

                      headlight & horn, etc.

there is no 25t cog unless its custom made 21t is the biggest evo offers. dont you know alot of us here own evo scooters so we know what they are capable of. 50 mph? not unless its off a cliff. some very highly modified 50cc actives are pushing a few evo scooters near the legit 45 mph mark right now. im talking HIGHLY modded.

I never checked it on radar. That was just what Evo claims they'll do. I saw specs for the 25t cog, but didn't see them for sale. I think it's restricted to pro racers only. I checked my Moby XL on radar and it did a solid 23-24 with my fat a$$ on it. My 2X FEELS as fast in first as the XL wide open. All I know is it's WAY faster. I didn't put the ADA vel. stack & filter on yet cause it'll void the warranty. I can tell it needs more air and a little tune-up.

Everyone out there, if you check it on radar, how fast can you really go? I know I'm doing over 40 cause o the cars I'm passing, but not even close to 50. I weigh double what most of u guys do tho.

Which "highly" modified 50cc actives are you talking about??

The two evo2xs that were touching 45mph this last weekend were 2 ports and stock carbs and stock pistons, with very MILD porting.....remove the cylinder and its bone stock.

That's wut I wanted to know too. Stock was faster than a lot of others. A pipe boosts it almost enough 2 wheelie by accident. It revs faster than race cars do & just needs the ADA velocity stack/filter & a pipe. Lots of air in & a tuned exhaust. I won't get mine ported cuz I don't race & can't be sure how anyones work will turn out either. The $$ ain't worth it for me 2 put around the hood.
