hey was up i love your pis and every thing but i just wont to no why you make your pips so then cuz the crank really easy i was thinking why you make them so like that is because thye are light

Cracking Pipes

The pipe cracking thing can be frustrating. It is frustrating for us to hear about people cracking pipes. It is not a matter of making the pipes thicker or stronger, as they are a tuned musical instrument and when you start changing the materials, the pipes won't perform the same. The percentage of pipes that we have crack is very small. In most of the cases we have seen that it is a problem with installation, loose bolts, not just on the pipe but the engine mounts etc. Missing springs, loose fender brackets, loose bolt from pipe to bracket. Another issue is a crankshaft that is out of true causing excessive vibration which causes engine mount screws to come loose and shear etc. Most scooter riders run until something breaks. It is too late to pull preventitive maintenance at that point. It is important to look your scooter over and check for loose fastners before each ride and probably after each hour of riding if possible. We have never been able to crack a pipe and have never had a pip crack on any of our race peds. Usually the pipes that come back to us cracked show signs of the scooter flipping over and sliding on the pavement and bending the pipe. Using Hi Temp Silicone sealer on the installation at the slip joint is important. They are Warrantied for 90 days.

ya that is true i got my bad in 2002 of march and about 3 monts a go i was fealing crazy and stuped and went out "JUMPING" that when it craked it see what you are say thanks for the helpful info i bet this is going to help a lot of poeple
