  • Problem with ADA SST Rims and Tires

I recieved my ADA SST Rims and Tires from ADA just yesterday. Today i was cruising around and I noticed that the tires was expanding off the rim ALOT. It even makes me sway side to side dangerously. I dont know if this is a defect or someone else has had the same problem with these tires. I need some feedback to see if its happening to you guys too.

    Check Your Installation

Check to see that your front and rear axle bolts are properly tightened. Check for installations in your manual. Make sure you have the spacer washers in the correct place. If you do not have a manual click here for instructions on adjustment, especially on the rear tire. Do not overtighten the rear tire or it will slow the scooter down and generate extra heat on the rear tire.

This should help nswer your qestions.

          Satisfaction Guarantee

Posters on GPN have implied that the tires may be unsafe. Safety is not an issue with the tires. The issue has been that they wear out quicker than it is thought they should, depending on usage. When used on the front, the tires wear as good as or better than any available. The problem with rapid wear on the back is a factor of heat. The Superior Rubber compound, being a natural rubber with additives wears more quicklly when subjected to excessive heat caused by factors like: rider weight, riding techniques, HP Engines with Big Bore Kits. We are developing a petro/chemical tire for the rear that can be formulated to withstand the additional heat generated by current usage conditions. In the meanwhile, we suggest if your usage wears the rear tire too quickly, do not use them on the rear. We have several users that are having good wear characteristics when used on the rear.
