  • How to tell if GSR40 is year 2005 or newer?

    I need to order some parts for a GSR40 and I don't know if it was made before or after 2005?

    Can someone please help me with this

    I think the difference is the brake system. Pre 2005 used the pre-maddog brakes (not my favorite) and after they used standard bicycle brake calipers and rotors(preferable choice by many)

      Its pre 2005 with the old brakes. The front brake works ok, but the back brake doesn't slow it down at all.

        you can always upgrade the front brakes by replacing the single sided fork, with a bothy fork.. rear brakes are nice to have but aren't necessary.

          PK adapter on eBay too. Cheap mount to newer ver.
