  • GSR40 7 tooth sprocket speed increase?

    My GSR40 goes about 24 mph too speed and everything is stock. How much faster do you think it will go by changing the 6/76 sprockets to 7/76 sprockets?

    It's about 5 mph more per drive sprocket tooth. So 7/76 should yield you 29 mph all things being equal.

      24mph / 6 tooth * 7 tooth = 28mph

        9/76 is the money for a stock GSR with intake and carb.
        8/76 is the money for a stock 460

        150-180 lb rider with medium to low hill riding.

        15+ years messing with these things...
