I have a g290 engine on mine and I’m hitting 30 mph with a stock spindle added an exhaust jumped up to about 32 but it was too loud . 30-32 it pretty fast . My throttle won’t go down all the way either and so it’s only going 3/4 throttle . My g290 makes my sport wanna pop wheelies and it’s pretty sketchy but so much fun .

seriously tho, a 320 or 340 rc. May take a little fab work.

Put a 290 on it and call it a day, largest motor that is a direct bolt on and will take you plenty fast

g340rc with an ADA clutch kit is a direct bolt on motor. Please don’t spread false info. And to be fair he did say “fastest possible” regarding the engine. Even the title “fastest Goped sport”, 290 would be an incorrect answer to this question, it’s really the upper mid range of fastest bolt-on options. Certainly not the fastest. The fab work dsport was referring to is in regards to the motor mount if you decide NOT to use the clutch. You’ll need to drill out the holes in your frame since motor mount spacing is larger.

so it’s a direct bolt on to a clutch... who wants a clutch on a sport. Again go with the 290 you’ll be much happier than adding a clutch to a sport and hanging a 340 off the side.
