What temprature is hot for ped motor and if your ped over heats what is the concequence

Temps will vary. My moded lh with a .800 ran 280-310 deg F. With a .625 spindle it ran around 250 at the plug. An Rc runs around the same temps. Excessive heat will cause premature engine wear and less performance. It might also cause seizure.
