alright, i ordered my ada gsr headkit on june 18 2003.. when i first got the head kit on it ran perfectly for like 1 min.. i just went around the block.. then ever since then my goped has never started since.... i cant get the thing to run... i got my gf's dad to see what was wrong because i tried everything and he did a compression test versus the stock cylinder.. the stock cylinder had alot more compression then my ada 15:1 head kit... i have torqued the screws right, used the copper gasket, head gasket is fine, piston rings are not worn at all, and there is nothing that can make my headkit lose compression.. i havent even gone through 1/10 th of a tank with my head kit yet, and because of this i cant ride my goped... ive taken it to 2 different goped shops and they say that too... i was wondering if i could exchange this one or get a refund?!?!? can i send this heads kit back for a new one??? i cant ride my gsr any more!!

    What's Wrong?

Of course all of the products have a warranty, but the first thing that you have to do to fix anything is determine what the problem is. there really isn't to much that could go wrong with a head. If there were, it should be visable. A good qualified Scooter Repair shop should be able to determine what the problem is without too much trouble. If the compression is lower, it sounds like there might be a leak somewhere. Remove the head, inspect, it it is ok, carefully re install being careful to tighten the bolts evenly and correctly.

        Warranty Procedure

You can return the head. With your experience, you should be able to visually determine what is wrong. There are no moving parts, so a defect should be apparent. It is in warranty, per the policy on this link. www.adaracing.com/support-war.php

            Something Else?

If you can't seen anything wrong with the head, I suggest that you remove the cylinder and inspect the piston and rings. Perhaps a ring got broken during assembly, or bent and is not round and conforming to the cylinder. Otherwise, send it all back, including the piston, rings, cylinder and all associated parts and we will inspect it for you. If we find something defective, that falls under the provisions of our warranty,.....we will get new picecs on the way to you. I can't figure out any other way to resolve your problem. As I mentioned earlier, anything wrong with a head or a dome should be visable. I suspect rings or something.

check 2 c if a gas line is pinched or mayb yur carb is outta tune, or c if yur plug is fouled or not correctly gapped, or c if the coil and the flywheel r gapped correctly.

if a motor has low compression it will run but not good... ok a gas motor takes like 2 things to make it run for the most part gas and spark..... do you have spark i see you have changed the stock spark plug wire and added that extra spark thing... that could be bad causing you to not get a spark..... that would be a good place to start... if you have spark make sure you are getting gas into the motor... if you are check the carb settings.... then if all elts fails burn it and start all over again.. j/p on that last part... good luck

Have you checked the rest of your engine ?? is there any sign of leaks from the crankcase gasket or crankcase oil seals ??? leaks here will prevent bottom end compression and hence no starting as all of your fuel is pulled into the crankcase before being delivered, via the transfer ports to your top end...

Try pull starting the engine and then check carb and plug for evidence of any fuel.. they should be wet as fuel has been pulled in but not used.. if its dry thats your problem..

What do any of those have to do with low compression?
