Hey everybody just wanted alittle info on my new ORC thats in the mail. ok i ordered an .800 spindle and a drive bolt with my ORC and how do i put on the spindle, do i just slide it on or cover it and hit it lightly, please don't flame. what should i do for the carb settings?? breaking it in?? thanks to anybody that helps me out. and please don't flame on me

ok, well if its in the mail im assuming that its new, if so then the carb settings are set to be for break in, after that you wanna turn the high in in small incrememts untill you get the best throttle response, then richen it up a minute tad, and for the spindle, the shaft is tapered so all you have to do is set the spindle on the shaft and then tighten down the spindle bolt, the taper does the rest, but make sure its tight, and with an 800, get a pipe, it really makes you move

Actually, Most motors don't come with the carbs pre-set. Anyhow the Carb settings should be as follows: High 1 1/4 out and Low 1 1/2 out. The idle screw (big screw below the fuel mixture needles) should be all the way in.Ada All the way.Comment

I don't think 2 turns out on the high and one on the low is a preset. All the Motors ive ever opened out of the box are never even close to the normal carb settings.Originally posted by Mailbox

Why should High and Low speed jets be set with idle screw all the way in instead of al the way out?
