  • Any Ada Guy! Pleeze Help Ada!

I GOT MY HE23HP MOTOR AND MY OTHER GOPED HAS THE SAME MOTOR (I GOT 2). THE OTHER HE23HP THAT I GOT ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO HAS THE WT603 CARB IT CAME WITH AND THE LOW-JET SCREW IS SHORTER THAN THE HIGH-JET SCREW. THE NEW HE23HP MOTOR I GOT HAS THE LOW-JET SCREW STICKING OUT WAY TALLER THAN THE HIGH JET. DID THEY START MAKING THERE CARBS LIKE THAT WITH THE LOW JET SCREW LONGER? PLEEZE HELP! AND I ALSO NEED TUNE SETTINGS FOR MY CARB. THANX!

The length of the adjustment screws doesn't matter. We've received wt-603 carbs with different screws from Walboro. It's still the same carb. Start both screws at 1-1/2 turns out from closed. That is a good starting point. You'll need to fine tune it from there for your application.

AND SINCE I ONLY WEIGH 100 POUNDS (IM PRETTY LIGHT) DO U THINK I SHOULD BE LEANING OUT THE HIGH JET FROM 1 1/2 OR OPEN IT MORE FROM 1 1/2? WHAT I HAVE IS A HE23HP,PIPE,.800 LD WIT 3RD BEAING, AND AIRFILTER WIT THE WT603 CARB IT CAME WIT (SuperSport). THANX!

Fine tuning means that you need to adjust it for your conditions. I cannot tell you exactly where to set your adjustment screws for optimum performance. I can only tell you a starting point. There are many factors that affect carb tuning, such as air density, humidity, air temp, exhaust pipe, gas/oil ratio, air filter, and more.
