I think that quiet is better. My friends say that the louder it is the better it runs. Theirs are really loud and my neibors are getting P/O. They also say this, If people say its too loud they will makwe theirs louder. Do you agree wiith them.

well... i like the sound of mine. mine is pretty damn loud since i got a HE23HP engine with pipe, spindal, etc...all the stuff listed below. i like it loud. but if cops catch u or people call the cops and u try to ride away...they will catch u from the sounds of ur ped in my nieghborhood.. and i think loud= faster and quiet=SH!T
red sport, HE23HP engine, ECC pipe, air filter, .800 longdrive w/ 3rd bearing, BEADLOCK...ALL SPEED!
(selling pipe...if anyone wants to buy it IM me on STiLLBaLLiN937 on AIM. good pipe..adds ALOT of torque and insane powerband) -
Most aftermarket cans or pipes do improve performance, some better than others, but all are LOUDER than stock. I have been running the old solid mount ADA BladeZ pipe but it broke, twice, and I haven't gone through the steps to get it replaced. So for now I am using a stock exhaust. Although I do like being able to go 30+ mph, we all might be faced with the decision to either ride quietly as possible, or not ride at all. Noise WILL be the biggest issue and hurdel we will face to stay legal. A fast scooter is just a pile of parts if you can't legally ride it anymore. And a wharehouse full of pipes is lost revenue if the market dries up because of a state wide ban.
So the real question is: Who is going to develope exhaust systems for the various scooter brands that not only improves performance, but that is also QUIET wink wink winkSheriff Jon

About time
Actually that was an open invitation to ALL pipe manufactures including ADA.
Most pipes or cans seem to be made with a simular mindset as Motocross pipes were a few years back. Fast as possible with not much concern for how loud they are. I know that cost is a big player in that equation. But......we ride these scooters on the street, in neighborhoods.....around other people. So if too many people complain about the NOISE, along may come the big BAN wagon, then we all loose.
Pipes are generally the biggest and most noticable improvement we can make on scooters, also the most expensive. But I don't think most would mind if we had to pay a little more to get "peace and performance"Sheriff Jon

I agree. If some one can make a pipe or cans without making much of a noise difference will be one of the best ped inventions ever. But until that day comes ill try to not tic off the neighbors.Comment
