Nice, The spring mount should work and last a lot better. I also like the new rear mount to the frame rather than to the axle bolt. What kind and size engine is that with the billet head on it ?

That is the Tanaka 35cc with a Stage 10-1/2 port job with a 13:1 dome on 91 octane. It also has the ADA 15mm HP carb kit. It runs around 10mph faster than the 47cc Tanaka we have.

Impresive, 10 mph over a 47, probably better gas milage too. The little engine that "could" Ya just don't see to many of them here in Cali anymore. My 47 is such a gas hog I put an extra tank on it to keep up (gas wise) with all the GSR's I ride with sometimes

                Hey Brooks,

                Thnx for the pix.

Does the port job & dome shorten the life of the engine much? I think thats pretty fantastic that the 35 is 10 mph faster than the 47....neat sh~t.

That would put that motor in the + 40 mph range??

The engine shouldn't be shortened at all by the porting and dome. The compression still allows for pump gas, and the porting just depends on how it is done.

The 47cc that we have doesn't go anywhere near the 30+ range. The 47cc isn't fast at all, I'd expect much more from another 17cc. But, I've never taken one apart so I do not know how limited they are by their design. I do not believe any of these Tanaka engines were specifically designed to be used on scooters. They we most likely designed for lawn and garden use, not really performance oriented. They were designed to run for many hours, not put out a bunch of horsepower and crank out the rpm's.

Once we receive your pipe and money, we can ship the new pipe out the same day.

Heres the new pipe on a Mitsu 43. It also fits the Mitsu 52

Brooks, we were able to make the Tanaka's sing pretty good with the first version of the BLEX pipe (easily getting beyond 30). Too bad now it wont fit...

Won't fit what? The 47cc? What makes it not fit the 47cc? I put the 2 pipes side by side and I don't see what the difference in fitting would be.
