?SF Scooter?s 2nd Annual Hill Climb Challenge at Twin Peaks?
Twin Peaks, one of San Francisco?s major tourist attractions to be closed for
Scooter Hill Climb Races.
San Francisco, CA - May 10, 2003 - For the first time in history, Twin Peaks Blvd. in San Francisco will be closed down.............. for a day of scooter racing.
The entire scooter industry is buzzing with excitement and preparing for SF Scooter?s 2nd annual Hill Climb Challenge. For an industry that typically races on go-kart tracks and in parking lots, this is a first-ever sanctioned ?road racing? event! Modeled after both the Pike?s Peak Hill Climb in Colorado and the Long Beach Grand Prix; we will be racing stand-up scooters, head-to-head, on a 1.25 mile uphill grade!
This year?s event also marks history when 10 of the world?s largest scooter Manufacturer?s, including GoPed, will meet and compf="sat Twin Peaks Blvd! Never before has such a diverse group been assembled at one event! Attendees from Texas, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and California are confirmed after only one-week of registration. The races are open to all ages and are sanctioned by the IGPA (International Go-Ped Association).
As well as scooter races, there will be live entertainment, music, prizes and food. This event promises to be fun for the whole family! Witness the industry?s cutting-edge developments and most-talented riders at a fabulous, scenic venue: Twin Peaks in San Francisco!
